Nice, friendly service. Food comes quick. Very affordable.

It was terrible food. Waiter was great drink was ok food burnt crispy had to get my own napkins n ask for silverware after food was brought to table.

Not a bad little Mexican place, hubby had a shrimp dish ( a little bland but good once he added hot sauce) I had the fried whole tilapia ( crispy outside and tender inside, a squeeze of lemon or lime really helped flavor). Good service and reasonable prices.

I've been here several times and the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. The prices are fair and I usually like everything I order. The service during rush hour can be slow but it is worth the wait 😊

Food was over spiced and over priced

The food is simply delightful. Flavors are all there, and its all made to order. Hot & fresh! Nice, clean, cool environment good for all the family. Staff is very nice and prompt to take care of you! I def. Recommend LA Carreta of Kanawha City, WV!

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! Despite often being busy, service has almost always been good. Occasionally you'll run into delays at a table, but that's to be expected when you're hopping in on Friday or Saturday night. The food is great and the chips and salsa while you wait are wonderful. The bartender was great too!

A quality tex-mex place that's been here a long time. I remember coming here as a kid back in the 1980s...

Food was served quickly and delicious. Pitcher of margaritas washed it down. Server understood what i meant when i said more spicy. So he kept the dish of jalapenos filled. !

Good food and place to leisurely dine with family and friends. The chips and salsa flow and you're never rushed. The staff has always been friendly and attentive.

Best place ever to eat

Good food! Lunch is the best time to go. Lower cost for same meal as dinner, smaller crowd. Enjoy eating there about once a month but if it's crowded avoid....they get in a hurry and it all goes downhill. Young man seating and runs register is a cool, good kid.

There are many times on the weekend when my husband calls me on his way home from work and says what do you want for dinner? And I always say Mexican food because I know that you was going to go to La Carreta and get exactly what I want no questions asked. My daughter who is a rather picky eater her self even enjoys getting food from here. I am from Southern California and there is nothing in West Virginia that is quite like what I am used to however I would recommend La Carreta to people who are looking for some good food.

Fair prices, a lot of the food is hit or miss the tacos al pastor were terrible, fajitas were great, the enchiladas my sister got were awful. Fair prices good atmosphere AVOID THE TACOS AL PASTOR

The menu prices are good but the cashier over charges... The food is good and most of the servers are alright. It is never crowded so you do not have to wait to be seated but sometimes you have to wait on a server. Then depending on which one you get your food might be what you ordered, might be served timely and your drinks might be refilled. Lol. It's still worth a visit just don't go when you are in a hurry or not in a good mood! The food is decent so there are no complaints in that department. 😜

We travel through this area a few times a year and always plan on stopping here at least once because the food is so good and the people are so freindly. Stopping here makes our long trip to see the in-laws not so bad. Try the Enchiladas Especial with beef tips. Delicious!

We had a friendly waiter...brought chips and dip right away....took our 3 orders promptly. Food took a little longer to come out than we thought it would since it was pretty slow. Plates were a bit skimpy for the price but tasted okay.

I was hoping for Cuban, like the description said. This was decent Mexican food, but definitely not what I expected. They exchanged my husband's tongue tacos with steak because the tongue was prepared with cilantro, and he's very allergic. Good service.

Not a bad place to eat, the waiters are pleasant and the food is good. Would recommend.

I wouldn't give it a star the server didn't know what he was doing and when I got my food it was cold

Good food but my plate was incorrect. The sauce I wanted in substitution was not on burrito. I do like that there are alternatives to hamburger in some entrees. Id live to have a "build your own burrito" option. Drinks are excellent. Staff friendly.

Theres always so much to choose from and all of it tastes great. My parents always get the same thing when we go but I switch it almost every time. I've yet to find a dish that I dont like from this place. The staff are usually nice and quick to give refills and the prices are really good too.
